Lewis Class Scoring affords us the opportunity to reward shooters of all age groups for their successes, even when they are shooting against significantly more experienced shooters.

In Lewis Class Scoring each age class of shooters is listed in order from highest to lowest score. The age class is then divided into equal groups (Lewis Classes). For example, if the age class had 30 competitors, each Lewis Class would have 10 competitors in it. Awards are then given to the top three places in each of these Lewis Classes.
