Archery Practice is held on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month, before Shotgun practice starts.

Archery Information

Dress Code:
Closed toed shoes and a shirt with sleeves.
3D & Field events require long pants.
If in doubt, contact the coach for further details.
 
Bow Classes:
Recurve, Bare Bow, Compound Aided, Compound Unaided, and NASP (National Archery Schools Program)
 
Safety Equipment:
Use of a shooting tab or glove and arm guard are suggested and may be obtained from most sporting goods stores.
 
Additional Equipment:
Arrows must have target or field points. Shooters may use either a ground quiver or one worn on the body. Equipment availability varies by location. Contact Coach Barry Watson for current specifics.
 
Range Commands:
Archery typically uses whistle blasts to communicate range commands. Four or more blasts mean cease fire, two blasts indicate shooters to the line, one blast means commence firing, three blasts indicate the flight is complete.
