Hunting
Hunting and Wildlife covers a variety of skills needed in hunting and wildlife management including wildlife identification, laws and ethics governing hunting, and skill in archery, small-bore rifle, muzzle loading, and shotgun sporting clays. Contact Calvin Dietrich if interested.
Muzzleloading
Muzzle loading practice can be held in conjuction with rifle and pistol practice on the first and third Saturdays of the month. Contact Calvin Dietrich if interested.
Rifle and Pistol
Please join the RPMH remind class to stay abreast of all rifle/pistol news. Directions can be found in your new member materials or at any club meeting. Contact Calvin Dietrich with any questions. Rifle & Pistol practice will be held on the first and third Saturdays of the month.
RPMH Information
- Safety:
- All firearms must come to the firing line cased, and will not be uncased until asked to do so by a range officer. All firearms should be equipped with an empty chamber indicator. All ammunition must be transported separately from the firearm.
- Firearms:
- Most practices and competitions make use of firearms chambered in .22 rim-fire cartridges. Members may also use .177 air pistols and rifles. Rifles with stocks based on the AR15/M16 platform are not permitted.
- Ammo Provision:
- Ammunition is provided by the club when available.
- Eyes & Ears:
- Eye and ear protection is required for all shooters and spectators. When participating in air rifle and pistol events, eye protection is required.
- Equipment Provision:
- Basic equipment, including firearms, off-hand stands, and spotting scopes, is available for use of club members. We hope that this allows members to try all disciplines and discover what they truly love and wish to invest in.
